1968 Martin D-12-20

$2,900.00

Right after the folk boom, Martin guitars was on a mission to up production and appeal to the masses, as there was a huge demand for the historic manufacturer’s guitars as musicians like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and more were seen using their tried and true Martin guitar.

This 1968 D-12-20, the mahogany dreadnought 12-string Martin was making around that time period, is a great, resonant 12-Fret to the body dreadnought that has exactly the kind of wide, open, airy sound that so many records had in the 60’s and 70’s. All original and never needing a major repair, this guitar was lovingly played and protected for decades by one owner.

There is the usual checking on the top from age, and one or two minor dings on the headstock and neck, but other than that this guitar is nice and clean, and has a totally serviceable neck angle for a 12-String this old that hasn’t had a neck reset.

Comes with the original hard shell case.
