C. 1930s National Triolian Mandolin
C. 1930s National Triolian Mandolin
Introduced just three years after the inception of National String Instrument Corporation, the Triolian mandolin took its place alongside its 6-Stringed brethren as a solid addition to National’s then already formidable lineup of resonators.
This model, from around the early 1930’s, has the rare brown finish, with flower style patterns made by dropping a thinner into the still wet lacquer.
Interestingly, this mandolin (sort of) has a 15” inch scale, putting it smack dab in between a mandolin and a mandolin. It’s also got a colossally wide 1 9/32 nut, making it more mandala sized sideways as well.
Comes with the original chipboard case.
