Colling’s fully appointed A-style mandolin, the MT-2, is probably one of the best mandolins that money can buy currently. The Austin, TX maker prides itself on consistent, complex, and well made instruments that the average working musician can aspire to, and sound well above their price point, competing with vintage and rare instruments many times the cost.

This example, made in 2011, is from an era many people consider to be one of Collings’ best (though they’ve never made a bad instrument, with a lovely Adirondack top, gorgeous flamed maple back and sides, full binding, ebony fretboard and bridge, 1 1/8th nut with Collings’ normal V profile neck, and a great, warm, full, punchy tone, not to mention gold hardware!

Used, in great condition especially for a mandolin of this age. Comes with the original hard case.
