Mid 2000's Andersen Emerald City Reserve

$8,500.00

Made by highly respected archtop builder Steve Andersen sometime in the mid 2000’s, this 16 13/16ths inch archtop is the venerable Emerald City Reserve model, an elevated trim level above the already elegant Emerald City.

An homage visually to the cutaway archtops of the 1960’s, stylistically this guitar leans heavily into the 20’s design aesthetic with its Art Deco accessories: a Chrysler Building looking truss rod cover, a multi tiered, multi ply bound ebony pickguard, engraved tuning buttons, split parallelogram inlays, and peacock fan-like headstock inlay. Comes with a nice latticed ebony tailpiece as well.

This guitar features a nicely wide grained spruce top, likely a piece of Englemann as Steve had a habit of using, as well as beautiful if subtly flamed maple back and sides.

25.5” scale length, 1 ¾ nut, comfortable C shaped neck profile, and a nice Krivo achtop humbucker with a single volume control.

In great shape, with just some checking overall.

Comes with the original case.
