Charles Whitfill, born in Kentucky, has, over the last decade and a half, become a go-to builder for boutique Fender replicas that capture the sound, feel and look of a beat up ol’ Strat or Tele, and platers like Vince Gill, Johnny Hiland, Brent Mason and more can be seen with one of these custom built relics in their hands.

This S-type, built in 2013, captures the mid 50’s Blonde most often featured on Telecasters of the time, as well as the ‘Mary Kaye’ Strats (though this one has silver hardware) and pairs it with a slightly slimmer 60’s style neck for a great hybrid feel, along with a warm sounding set of alnico pickups.

The body is Ash, for that 50’s feel, the neck maple, and the finish a nice crackled nitro blonde. In great shape (considering all the relicing).

Comes with a tweed hardshell case.
