The Telecaster Thinline was first introduced in 1968 as a lighter and more resonant spin on the classic Telecaster. The model quickly found a place as one of Fender’s most distinctive variations, gaining the majority of its popularity in the early 70’s with the dual hum bucker version competing with the Les Paul.
This example, the American Elite Telecaster, introduced around 2014, is a refined version for the modern player, featuring ash thinline body paired with a one-piece maple neck and compound radius fingerboard. The neck has a medium “C” profile. Electronics include the original Fender noiseless pickups, with an extra switch for an out-of-phase middle position.
Nearly spotless condition, though there’s a little bit of yellowing on the pickguard. Comes with the original case.
