C. 1971-3 Gibson ES-340TDN (Refinished)
This early 1970’s ES-340TDN is a bit of a story- the 340, a slightly re-wired, multi-piece neck version of the ES-335, with a mixable out-of-phase condition instead of the usual Volume/Tone. Most of these have been rewired to be 335 wiring, and this one definitely has, as well a litany of other modifications, including a fairly amatuerish spray paint refinish, new bridge, new tailpiece, new tuners.
The original pickups, without the Gibson stamp, placing this guitar either in 70-71 or 73, have been spray painted gold sometime in the past, and we’ve left it as it “matches” the gold hardware!
The original headstock overlay and back have both been stripped, and the logo has fallen out, and since been poorly filled in.
This guitar, having been re-set up, plays very nicely, and the T-Top humbuckers do have a great, forward sound.
This guitar has the smaller Gibson nut width of 1 9/16, which is fairly slim.
No case, we have options available.
