2011 Tom Anderson Guitarworks T (Short Scale)
2011 Tom Anderson Guitarworks T (Short Scale)
Tom Anderson started out at Schecter in the late ’70s, and by the mid-’80s he was winding pickups in his kitchen and building necks and bodies in his garage. Before long, he was turning out full guitars under his own name: clean, precise, and ahead of the curve with CNC routing, UV finishes, and compound radius boards before most builders caught up. Today, Anderson Guitarworks is still a tight operation, putting out some of the most dialed-in bolt-necks around.
This particular 2011 T model is a great example of Tom’s blend of reverence for history while constantly innovating. It's got the classic silhouette and slab body of a vintage T-style, but everything else has been quietly refined: a contoured heel, compound radius fingerboard (most likely 12"–14"), locking tuners, and Anderson’s tight neck pocket with the A-Wedgie bolt-on joint. The pickups are his own T-style set—plenty of twang in the bridge, but smoother on top than your average blackguard, with a neck position that actually feels usable and full. The pickup selector is a 5 way blade like a Strat, with an extra out of phase middle position and a thinner neck tone available as well.
This particular guitar features a short 24.5” scale like a Gibson, and a swamp ash body. This guitar also has a secondary strap button, for a Matt Heafy style strap.
Good condition, with some dings on most surfaces. Comes with a hard case.
