1997 Fender Custom Shop Danny Gatton Signature Telecaster
1997 Fender Custom Shop Danny Gatton Signature Telecaster
Based on Telecaster wizard Danny Gatton’s personal modified 1953 Telecaster, the Fender Danny Gatton signature Tele takes the best of 50’s Blackguard feel and blends it with a little bit of modern flair, for a great hybrid instrument capable of almost any style, much like Gatton himself.
With a U shaped, spectacular Birdseye maple 50’s neck equipped with 22 frets and, interestingly, Cubic Zirconium side dot markers that Gatton meant to catch the light even from the exit signs on the side of the stage, this Tele plays a lot like other 50’s Tele reissues, but the JBE (Joe Barden) Danny Gatton pickups, humbuckers in a single coil body, give it a little fatter of a sound.
The bridge is a 50’s style bridge with brass saddles, and the hardware is the normal hardware, save for the pickup selector that’s slightly bent over per Danny’s preference.
In good condition, though two of the side dot markers are missing.
Comes with the original Tweed Hardshell case and Custom Shop plaque.
