1991 Heritage H576
1991 Heritage H576
Heritage Guitars, built out of the historic Gibson factory on Parsons St, got its start mostly by former Gibson employees who didn’t want to uproot and move to Tennessee, setting out to build the best Gibson style guitars possible.
Built as a thin version (just 2.75” thick) of the Heritage H550, (purportedly the H575, though the resemblance is less similar there), this H576 is a great thinline jazz box more inline with something like an ES-175T or a great ES-335 (just fully hollow).
Made with beautiful flamed maple (pretty much all over except the mahogany neck, you could get syrup out of this guitar!), as well as a Bigsby tailpiece, this guitar has a super sweet, even tone, thanks, as well, to it’s very smoothly voiced humbucker pickups.
The neck profile is a perfect 60’s style Les Paul neck-like C shape, coupled with a 1 11/16th” nut for excellent playability. Action is low, though the frets are as well, but it’s still plenty playable and sounds great and even.
In great shape, with expected play wear after 35 years, mostly on the sides.
Comes with the original hardshell case.
