1959\8 Les Paul Special (Refinished)
1959\8 Les Paul Special (Refinished)
Sometimes you get a vintage guitar so clean you could eat off of it, and sometimes you get a vintage guitar so messed up that it comes back around to being ridiculously cool again.
This guitar is the latter. With new paint that gives the vibes of an old barn door, (mostly) new electronics, and a roaring sound, this Les Paul Special is identifiable mostly through its double cut design, introduced in 1958, as well as the inclusion of the “Les Paul Model” script still visible on the headstock overlay, the only part of this guitar not touched by well meaning (or not) hands or time. The serial has long disappeared thanks to many refinishes.
The wiring is a modern harness, and the neck pickup is a modern replacement. The bridge pickup possibly is the original, minus the rewinding it almost certainly underwent, as well as a new cover.
New tuners.
Comes with a hardshell case.
