Designed in partnership with legendary banjo/fiddle player, storyteller, singer, songwriter and licensed river boat captain (yes!) John Hartford, this Deering banjo has all the tone you’d want, but at a lighter weight and with added visual flair thanks to its Granadillo tone ring and late 19th century styling.

With all maple construction, this banjo is nice and bright, capturing that woody tone Hartford was famous for, along with a special designed Granadillo tone ring, giving a brighter, airier sound to this banjo than a cast tone ring would.

The inlays on the headstock and ebony fretboard were specially designed by Deering designer and luthier Chuck Neitzel to emulate the ornamental architectural styling of 1800’s Mississippi riverboats, a passion of Hartfords.

In amazing shape, essentially new.

Comes with the original hard shell case.
