C. 1972 Gibson RB-250
C. 1972 Gibson RB-250
Made early into the era where Gibson’s banjo production had been streamlined, this great RB-250 features the structural changes associated with this era of Gibson, but luckily, not a lot of the tonal challenges.
With a 11 ply, black painted laminate rim, the “mystery” flathead tone ring, and an early tube and plate flange, this banjo is firmly in the 70’s construction wise, but this particular example has a little more tonally on tap than a lot of 70’s RB’s often have.
All original, with a Remo Weather King head, as well as 7th and 9th spikes, this old gal is in surprisingly good condition. There’s definite signs of wear on this banjo, but nothing egregious.
Comes with a Gibson hard shell case, most likely original.
