1967 Martin D-18
1967 Martin D-18
Made in the middle of the folk boom, this beautiful 1967 Martin D-18 takes the best features of this era of Martin production and combines them into one- sitka spruce, gorgeous mahogany, a comfortable rounded V profile neck, 1 11/16 nut, Brazilian rosewood bridge, fretboard and peghead overlay, and a relatively thin finish comparative to the 70’s, to create a guitar that’s tonally exactly what you’d want from an era where folk was as popular as bluegrass was as popular as Rock N’ Roll.
This particular guitar is in excellent shape, with the only tell-tale signs of play being the pick wear south of the pickguard, as well as a couple little dings here or there. The neck has been reset at some point, and this guitar has plenty of saddle and frets left for years to come.
Bright, woody sound, with an amazing amount of volume on tap.
Comes with the original hard shell case.
