Kinscherff OM #244

$3,800.00

Built in Wemberley, Texas since 1978, Luthier James Kinscherff has made quite good, handbuilt guitars in small batches.

This example, and OM Cutaway from roughly 15 years ago, is an excellent luthier built instrument, with mahogany back and sides, a nicely wide grained Adirondack spruce top, and ebony appointments, body and neck both bound with what looks to be Koa. There’s also a fairly detailed abalone rosette, making for a fairly attractive OM!

With a 25.5” scale, 1 ¾ nut, and smaller C shaped three piece neck, this guitar was definitely aimed at fingerpickers when built, but sounds good for many styles, from contemporary to folk.

In good shape, with a fair amount of wear, especially on the top, as well as some dings on the back.

Comes with a hard case.
