Collings OM2H
Collings OM2H
The Collings OM2H the Austin, TX based company’s no-nonsense take on the classic orchestra model, built with the company’s usual precision and consistency. A Sitka spruce top is paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides for the kind of balance and clarity Collings is known for; tight low end, focused mids, and a clear top end. The body measures just over 4" deep, making it comfortable in hand whether onstage or at home, and responsive enough for both flatpicking and fingerstyle work.
Ivoroid binding with herringbone purfling frames the body; the back is trimmed with a 2-style zipper backstrip, and a tortoise pickguard finishes it off. The neck is Honduran mahogany with a modified V profile, 1 11/16" nut width, and 2 3/16" string spacing at the bridge.
Ebony fingerboard and bridge, with 28 style diamond inlays. Hardware includes nickel Waverly tuners, and a bone nut and saddle.
Under the hood, the OM2H uses Sitka spruce pre-war scalloped X-bracing for strength and projection, all finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.
Comes with a quality Collings hard shell case.
