Made to replicate the golden era of flattop guitar construction, (and fixed for the 2023 run to be more accurate), the Authentic series from Martin is, perhaps, the best way to get an almost one to one representation of playing an heirloom (and completely unaffordable for the average musician) pre war flat top.

This is the 1937 D-18 model (from the last year they also offered the aged but non-VTS option), replete with Adirondack spruce top, forward shifted, scalloped bracing, a 1 ¾ nut, big comfy neck profile, aged, tinted finish, and a huge D-18 sound, which, thanks to the bracing, has piano like sustain and amazing volume.

In great shape, just one extra real ding on top of the fake ones, and a strap button installed.
