Built on special order in 2023, this lovely 12-Fret D-18 features an Adirondack top and, in one of the rarer woods Martin has on offer, Cuban mahogany back and sides.

12-frets have long been, to bluegrass players, associated with Norman Blake, and this one has much the same tonality- big, open sound with a present low end and lots of detail.

The nut is the usual Martin 1 ¾, with the Modified Low Oval neck profile, so it’s a little more playable to a modern player than the usual wide nut, big neck combo of a 12-fret dread.
