2016 Pre War Guitar Co. Slope Shoulder (Level 3)

$5,500.00

Built by Hillsborough, NC based makers the Pre War Guitar Company, this slope shoulder model is about as close to a real old Gibson as is possible to get out of a new guitar. Though visually closest to a J-45, Pre War braces their slope should model closer to a 1930’s, Martin leading to a tone much closer to that of the revered J-35, with a huge, boomy bass, nice clear upper mids and a slight scooped sound indicative of a great mahogany guitar.

This example has and Adirondack top, Honduran mahogany back and sides, hide glue construction, and a super thin lacquer finish that’s close to what their Level 3 finish is now.

Comes with a hard shell case, non-original.
