Originally known as the CL, the Gibson Songwriter is Gibson’s answer to a longer scale dreadnought, meant to compete on even footing with Martin’s incredibly popular D-28.

This particular example, made not in the normal production facility in Bozeman but in Gibson’s Custom Shop, is a pretty standard Songwriter in all its normal specs: sitka top, rosewood bridge and fretboard inlaid with split parallelograms, and a lovely sunburst.

Non-normal specs on this beauty are definitely the Koa construction- both back and sides and a lovely peghead overlay.

This guitar features a 25.4” scale length, like its Martin competitors.

This guitar’s rounded out by gold hardware and a fresh setup! In great condition, only one or two marks.
