2001 Ryan Mission Grande

$6,350.00

Founded in 1987 by then aerospace engineer Kevin Ryan, Ryan Guitars is the epitome of “small builders really can do whatever they want”. Ryan’s history at Northrup gave him the engineering mind needed to truly innovate the acoustic guitar as an art from and as a piece of engineering, and this 2001 Mission Grand Concert, for years Ryan’s only model, is a great encapsulation of that.

A guitar that would capture the attention of crowds that like guitars such as Olson and Petros, this slim necked, 15” bodied Concert sized guitar, with a deep 4 9/16ths body depth, has a deep, bass sound, but plenty of articulation thanks to its spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, as well as a full 25 ¾” scale and 1 ¾ nut for great playability.

The body is bound with a great flamed binding, either maple or koa, as well as abalone inlaid purfling.

This example is in good conditon overall, with some pick wear on the treble side of the soundhole, though a clear pickguard has stopped any further wear from progressing into the wood itself. This guitar also has some normal headstock wear, and one or two normal use dings on the body. Overall, very nice.

Comes with a Calton case, as well as a transducer style pickup.
