2000 Edward V. Dick Custom Jumbo
2000 Edward V. Dick Custom Jumbo
Built by recently semiretired proprietor of Victor guitars here in Denver, (the V in his name), this Edward Dick custom was made specially for a customer 26 years ago, and has recently resurfaced to be a fun, unique piece of Colorado guitar history.
Similar to the guitar Dick made to be a show guitar in the turn of the century, showcased at the Guitarmakers festival, amongst others, this beauty features a larger, 16” bout with a narrow waist, 5” oval soundhole, and floating neck joint like an archtop, as well as a slightly bent top design leading to a nice break angle and very open, loud sound.
The top is a nicer spruce, unknown, and the back and sides are maple, along with the neck. The bridge, board and part of the binding are ebony, accompanied by pearl inlay and pearl binding filling out the other half of the checker pattern.
In great shape for 26 years old, with just very minor play wear.
Comes with the original hard shell case.
