1998 Bourgeois OMC Deluxe
1998 Bourgeois OMC Deluxe
Bourgeois guitars, the brainchild of Lewiston, Maine based luthier Dana Bourgeois, has long been known for their high quality, American made instruments that take the best of the traditional American guitar and pump it up to 11. This OMC Deluxe, based on their OM platform, is an excellent, warm, open sounding guitar that’s got character to spare and amazing playability.
With a spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony appointments and, interestingly, close backed Kluson style tuners, this guitar drips style, but worry not, the substance is there as well. The 1 ¾ nut is coupled with slightly pointed-off C shaped profile for a hybrid vintage/modern feel, and, like an OM, the 25.5” scale length allows for more clarity of tone, which this guitar has in spades. Warm and round when fingerpicked, loud and clear when strummed, this guitar covers a whole tonal spectrum.
This guitar’s in great shape, though with a little bit of expected wear in the obvious places (headstock, back, etc). No major repairs.
Comes with the original case.
