1991 Martin B-65E Bass
1991 Martin B-65E Bass
Made for only a few years in the late 80’s and early 90’s the B-65 is one of those Martin’s that’s worth grabbing on sight. The bass twin to the also short lived J-65 jumbo, this bass is a great example of things coming together just right to make an instrument that shoulhd’t quite work, but it definitely does.
With a spruce top, maple back and sides, and a 16” lower bout, as well as a full 34” scale, this bass has a surprisingly present and deep sound acoustically, and plugged in is highly tunable, thanks to its dual stacked control knobs.
Has a little bit of wear, presumably form being played with a pick for years, as well as some checking throughout.
Comes with the original hard shell case.
