Made smack dab in the middle of Martin’s “golden era”, this 00-21, the “middle ground” between the 18 and 28 series, with its Brazilian rosewood back and sides, is one of the best vintage Martins to pass through our shop in recent history.

Perfect for (and favored by) Norman Blake style playing, as well as all sorts of vintage blues, finger style, or anything in between, this old gal has the classic extra wide 1 7/8ths nut, as well as 2 5/16ths bridge spacing that lends itself to, in a flatpicker’s opinion, extra accuracy.

This guitar had some work done in the past, mostly done at the illustrious T.R. Crandall’s in NYC, which include a replaced bridge plate, some bridge repairs to fill in holes from previously (and erroneously) installed bridge screws which have since been taken out, and one repaired back crack.
