Built in the second year of martin’s “golden era”, this gorgeous 1931 Martin 0-18 is built as a tenor guitar, with four strings, a 1 7/32nds nut, and a 23” scale, is a stellar example of even the small body Martins from this time period.

Built with a gorgeous shade top, Martin’s sunburst from this era, this 0-18’s Adirondack top is in great shape, with no structural repairs save a reglued bridge (and possibly replaced bridge plate, it’s very clean if it is), but plenty of well earned wear to boot.

The back and sides, both Honduran mahogany are in similar shape, with no structural issues, but plenty of wear.

The neck and fretboard are both in great shape as well, having been refretted with period appropriate bar frets some time in the past. Plays great, looks even better, given that bar frets are notoriously finicky to replace. Great work.

Currently have tuned in GDAE octave mandolin tuning.

Comes with a period, but most likely not original case.
