2019 Krishot F17 (F5)
2019 Krishot F17 (F5)
Built by Czech builder Eduard Krištůfek, Krishot mandolins have long had a hold on the world of Bluegrass mandolins as an incredible value for money F5, known for warm, woody tones, and great playability.
Built right when Eduard changed his F5 style back from a more traditional F5 to a slightly more modern look, complete with bound F holes, and a much wider, flatter fretboard extention, but paired with a 1 1/8th nut, radiuses fretboard and a pretty darn small, vintage inspired V profile neck, this mandolin has a nice blend of both vintage and modern.
The lovely spruce top, most likely South Alaska Sitka Spruce (as listed on the website), paired with Slovakian Rock Maple back and sides, make for a nice, percussive, woody sound.
Great shape, with some signs of playwear by the fretboard on either side, as well as one little tiny crack by the fretboard bass side that’s stable.
Comes with a hardshell case.
