1946 Epiphone Deluxe - Nice Vintage archtop in good condition. It is a classic example of what archtops should be, and what many of the early jazz guitarists chose as their workhorse instrument. This one comes from the golden age of the archtop guitar and has the sound that the era exemplified. We love our archtops, and this one is a great unique thing for all you jazz and swing pickers out there. Come in and see it, and check out the others as well.

Pomeroy 2 point "Black Face" - Don Paine from Glenwood Springs built this mandolin. We are happy to be carrying his instruments. He and his son are building some great instruments and this one is exceptional. We have an A-style and F-style and this one. It is woody, loud and has an exceptional tone. It is a two-point which makes it less traditional, but the sound is unparalleled. We have some great mandolins these days, and this is certainly one of them.

Krishot "F" Fern - Edward Kristufek came to the Pickin' Parlor with his band last ummer, and I had a chance to get on stage with them and sing some bluegrass. If you didn't know, he is a truly great player...and a great builder. We buy most of Eda's (that's what he calls himself) instruments, and consistently have a stock of his wonderful mandolins. We've sold most of the "A" Styles he sent us a few months ago, and now are left with one of them and a great "F" style fern mandolin. They are both hand varnished and they both sound great. We have had this fern for some time now and had it in one of our display cases where it didn't get played much, but we've done some switching of our displays and it's out on the floor. It hadn't been played much and had tightened up, or maybe just never opened up. But now it gets a good picking everyday from careful players and has really come alive. It is loud, bright, and really really nice sounding. It's a hand carved, hand varnished fern style mandolin...if it were a Collings you'd be looking at $12,000 or so for a mandolin with the same appointments. So what does the Krishot cost? How about a whopping $3950? Sound good? If the price sounds good, you should hear the mandolin. Stop by and check it out.
