1949 Martin 00-17 - w/hsc --- $1750 Price

The 00-17 was a special order guitar from Martin Guitars. It was very much like the 15 series instruments to the point that they are sometimes impossible to differentiate aside from the stamp on the neck block. They were inexpensive guitars meant for the average person to enjoy and play.

This is a standard 00 size guitar with Mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany top. It has a rosewood Bridge, a rosewood fingerboard with small dot inlays. It comes with a bone nut, and a bone saddle, as well as the original tuning machines. It has a Brazilian Rosewood veneer on the peghead, and white bridge pins. The Scale length is 24.9" and the nut width is 1 5/8".

This is a neat vintage Martin Guitar. It's a little, rough though. It has some scratches and playing wear. Looks like the bridge has been replaced, but is structurally sound and plays well. This is a nice players guitar with a cool old Martin sound. For more information about this instrument or about Martin Guitars in general visit the Olde Town Pickin' parlor in Arvada, CO or go to:
