In-Store Instruction

The Olde Town Pickin' Parlor instructors are all qualified, professional, friendly, versatile, and cordial. They value a rapport with their students. Instruction is available Monday - Saturday.
    David Bailey

David's father, a local drummer, introduced David to Denver's local music market and to the basics of professional musicianship. David began playing the alto sax in elementary school, but traded it for an electric guitar when he was 11. David's first few jazz guitar lessons were from local jazz guitarist Ray Biocco, and David began to make a name for himself as the leader of the jazz/funk outfit, The Kabalaphonics. David attended Metro State College and the University of Colorado at Denver, majoring in music, where he studied with brilliant musicians including Ron Miles, Paul Musso, and Drew Morell. He has over a dozen years of experience performing and several years teaching music.
