Announcing the "Terry Burr Memorial Scholarship Fund" at

Olde Town Pickin' Parlor

In honor of the "Founding Father" of our monthly jam sessions and in cooperation with Ginny, Terry's wife, I am pleased to give you the details of the scholarship fund now established to assist guitar students with their studies at OTPP. not only did Terry work at OTPP, he introduced many of us to the Pickin' Parlor and Uncle Kit.

Uncle Kit has graciously donated the store's share of each lesson fee to the fund. That means that the net cost per student is $18 per week. It is hoped that we can fund three students initially which means we need $234 per month for some period to provide the lessons. Each student will be interviewed by Uncle Kit (or Bob) at OTPP: 303-421-3204. If you need to leave a message for either Kit or Bob, please tell them you are calling about the "Terry Burr" scholarship and leave your name and number. Each student will be responsible for his/her own guitar and study materials.

Uncle Kit has also agreed to set up the "Terry Burr Memorial Scholarship Fund" bank account with Terry's wife, Ginny, as a "signer " along with an OTPP staff member to administer the funds and pay instructors for the lessons provided.

Although your donation can be "anonymous" if you like, we all wish to thank each of you for participating. To the extent that your gift is identified to you, Ginny will be sending you a "Thank You" for all of us -- and Terry will be grinnin' down at ya!!!
