Martin D-18 1965 w/hsc --- Price $3695
The D-18 is one of Martin's mainstay guitars. It was introduced in the 1930s and has been part of their standard series ever since. This is a vintage D-18 from the mid 1960s. It is all original and sounds great. .
This is a standard Dreadnought sized guitar with mahogany back and sides, and a Sitka spruce top. It has an Indian rosewood bridge, A bone saddle, a bone nut, standard X bracing non-scalloped, maple bridge plate, rosewood fretboard, Kluson closed back tuners with button knobs, a Brazilian rosewood overlay on the peghead, tortoise binding and pickguard. The scale length is 25.4" and the nut width is 1 11/16".
These are wonderful dreadnought guitars with a deep sound perfect for bluegrass, folk, and other flatpicking styles. the neck is a little thin for fingerstyle, so it might not appeal to fingerstyle players so much as others, but it is a great vintage guitar for anyone looking for a great instrument. It has a few wear marks, a pretty good sized mark on the upper shoulder which is shown in one of the photographs, but the guitar is structurally stable and sounds great.
