Leach Sierra - Honduran Rosewood (?)/Sitka Spruce - w/hsc --- $3500 Price
Harvey Leach builds premium quality guitars from his shop in Cedar Ridge, California. He is well known for his craftsmanship both on his inlay, and his outstanding guitars. We have two of his Sierra Models in the shop right now, one with some outstanding inlay, and this one with a more simple look, but nevertheless and outstanding quality.
This is Harvey Leach's Sierra model guitar. It has Honduran Rosewood back and sides and a Sitka Spruce top. It has an Ebony bridge, and an ebony fingerboard with a compensated saddle and a bone nut. There are abalone dot inlays on the fingerboard, and there is Koa binding on the body, fingerboard and peghead. It has a three piece neck, gold Gotoh tuning machines with ebony buttons, and an ebony arm rest on the upper side of the lower bout. The scale length is 24.5" and the nut width is 1 11/16".
This is a great sounding unique guitar. The body shape is unlike others you might find and so the sound is very unique. The bouts are very pronounced, and the sound is punchy and silky, it has a very easy to play neck, and sounds very good for fingerstyle guitar. The guitar is in fantastic shape, sounds good and plays well. For more information please visit the Olde Town Pickin' Parlor in Arvada, Colorado.
