Krishot 'A' style - w/hsc ---- $1850 List Price
Edward Kristufek is a luthier from the Czech republic. He builds wonderful Gibson style mandolins and we are proud to be one of the only dealers of his instruments in the country. We stock his F-5 style mandolins and now we have three of his A-5 styles in stock.
This is a standard A-5 style mandolin. It has a German Spruce top and Slovak Maple back and sides. It has an ebony fingerboard, an ebony bridge, a bone nut, ivoroid binding around the fingerboard and peghead, and white binding around the body. An ebony veneer on the peghead with a keystone inlay. It has a maple neck and an oil varnish finish. Two of them are x-braced and one is lateral braced. The nut width is 1 1/8" and the scale length is 13.5".
Krishot's are fantastic instruments and these have a nice sleek look with the snake-head style pegheads on them. We have three in stock. two with x-bracing, and one with tonebars. They sound great, look great and are reasonably priced, plus you can't get them anywhere else most of the time. Visit the Olde Town Pickin' Parlor for more information.
