Gibson EM-150 1940s - w/hsc - $1495 Price

Gibson was a pioneer in electrifying acoustic instruments. Their inventions were unique and inspiring for later builders and like the era of Lloyd Loar inspired the modern mandolin, their electronics have influenced the modern electric instrument. The Em-150 was introduced in 1936 and discontinued in 1971.

This is a Gibson EM-150 with a P-90 Pickup. It has an adjustable rosewood bridge, a bound rosewood fingerboard, Amber knobs, a Gibson tailpiece, a black top and new tuning machines. The scale length is 13 7/8" and the nut with is 1 3/16".

This is a unique vintage instrument. The top has been blackened aftermarket, but it was very well done and looks great. We plugged it into a little fender amp and it has a great bluesy sound. If you want something unique this is certainly for you. For more information visit the Old Town Pickin' Parlor.
