1925 Gibson A-1 - w/ohsc --- $2700 Price

Gibson is perhaps the most famous name in modern mandolins. Their innovations specifically from Lloyd Loar defined the sound of the modern instruments, and their variations on the old timey instruments inspired instruments like this one. Gibson introduced the A-1 in 1902.

This is a standard Gibson A-1 with a black top. It has Birch back and sides, a spruce top, and adjustable ebony bridge, the original pickguard (in the case) , binding on the body, original tuners, and a two-piece mahogany neck. It has the original Tailpiece and cover. the scale length is 13 7/8" and the nut width is 1 3/16".

This is a great vintage players and collectors instrument. It is a great specimen and would be desirable to a collector...and to a player it looks great and sounds awesome. It's really not a bluegrass mandolin, but Celtic stuff and old time fiddle music sounds great on this thing and it needs someone to play it.
